Château de Compiègne is a magnificent castle in the city of Compiègne, France. It was constructed in 17th century, designed by famous architects Hardouin-Mansart and Jacques Lemercier. This beautiful chateau is renowned for its classical French architecture, sculptures, and stunning gardens. It was once the favorite residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Joséphine. Today, the palace is open to the general public, displaying a variety of artifacts including painting, bronze and porcelain figurines, 18th century furniture, and much more. Most of the parks and gardens have been preserved and are open to visitors. Visiting the castle requires a guided tour, and the cost for a tour ticket is very affordable.
