The medieval Château de Chillon is one of Switzerland's most spectacular historical monuments. Located on the edge of Lake Geneva, the castle offers stunning views of the lake and the Alps beyond. Built between the 12th and 15th centuries, it was once home to the Counts of Savoy, and features a series of towers, dungeons and chapels. Chillon is the inspiration for many legendary tales and the perfect spot for a day trip. A tour of the property will take you through dungeons, a chapel, a knights’ hall, a great gallery and much more. The castle also features a unique collection of art and furniture from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
