Chateau de Cheverny

The Chateau de Cheverny is a beautiful castle located in central France in the rural area near the city of Cheverny. It was built in the 17th century by Henri Hurault, viscount of Cheverny. As one of the oldest French chateau, it is one of the most picturesque sites in the Loire Valley. The chateau still displays its original architecture and furnishings. Inside the main castle, visitors can explore six apartments and the chapel, which were decorated during the early years of the 17th century. Additionally, the chateau boasts a terrace garden, a great perspective of the landscape, and a collection of museum-quality treasures. Chateau de Cheverny hosts art exhibitions, concerts, and other major events throughout the year. Visitors can explore the surrounding gardens, wooden sculptures, and the extensive park of 12 hectares, populated with an array of wild animals like Fallaine deer, donkeys, and ponies.
