Chateau Blois plein is one of the most impressive and beautifully preserved castles in France. Located in the city of Blois in the Loir-et-Cher department of the country, the three-storeyed structure was built in the 14th century, originally as the residence of the Count of Blois. Its architecture is a mix of Renaissance, medieval and baroque styles, and its most striking feature is the clock tower built during the 16th century. Visitors to the castle can explore its five courtyards, two grand halls, numerous galleries and rooms, as well as its Italian-style gardens. The castle also features an impressive collection of rare artifacts and paintings, which will provide plenty for culture lovers to explore. There is also a museum dedicated to the history of Loir-et-Cher, which is well worth a visit.
