📍 From Park Cihelná, Czechia
Charles Bridge is one of the most famous sites in the Czech Republic. Spanning the Vltava river, it connects the Lesser Town (Malá Strana) to the Old Town (Staré Město) of Prague. Built in the 15th century, it is adorned with 30 saints and a number of statues along its full-length. The original street on the bridge was paved with sandstone and is now part of the Czech National Heritage. Visiting Charles Bridge during the day offers a stunning view of the city, as well as of the nearby Franz Kafka museum. There are a number of shops and other attractions on and around the bridge, making it a great place to stroll, explore and people watch. There are also great views of Prague castle located at one end of the bridge. It’s also worth noting that the bridge is closed to cars.
