The stunning Chapelle Saint-Léon IX is located in Eguisheim, in the Alsace region of France. Built between 1947 and 1955, this tiny chapel stands just 8.7 m (28.5 ft) tall, but its lovely bright-white aesthetic stands out amongst the neighboring structures. This quaint chapel features striking stained-glass windows that produce a soft, unique light, allowing a peek inside the area’s deeply spiritual culture. Extending from the chapel is a remarkable wall of 120 panels, each featuring one of 12 selected symbols representing the village and its history. A garden of biblical plants borders the wall, providing a unique juxtaposition to the chapel's structure. Chapel Saint-Léon IX is a must-see for architecture and culture fans alike.
