Chapelle Notre-Dame des Vernettes dates back to the 12th century and is nestled into the Swiss Alps of France. Located in picturesque Peisey-Nancroix, the granite chapel stands out against it's alpine setting. This small Romanesque church was built for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela and is known for it's beautiful, intricate exterior and high vaulted ceilings. Inside, you can admire the ornate carvings and paintings adorning the walls and take in the breathtaking views from the nearby windows. With a little bit of luck, you may even find skiers taking a quick break in the chapel, as it's a popular stop for ski enthusiasts!
