
The Chapel of Bones (Capela dos Ossos) in Évora is a unique, unique and unique chapel. Constructed in the 16th century, this chapel is made up of five thousand human bones and skulls, making it one of the strangest and most bizarre chapels in the world. It serves as a chilling reminder of one's own mortality and a tribute to those buried in places no longer known. The chapel is located in the city center of Évora and is part of the Church of St Francis. When entering the chapel, you will be able to take frighteningly close looks at the old skulls and bones of the deceased which are held together with mud and clay. Inside the chapel you will also find inscriptions and an old inscription that reads 'We bones that are here, for yours we await'.
