📍 India
Chand Pole Bridge crosses the narrow northern end of Lake Pichola, linking Udaipur’s old city with neighborhoods on the western bank. The surrounding houses, temples and stepped ghats place it within the city’s everyday lakeside life, rather than the enclosed world of its palaces. Views from the crossing open toward the broader lake, with the City Palace rising above the eastern waterfront. Closely packed facades, stone steps descending to the water and their broken reflections create a layered scene that shows how Udaipur’s buildings and public spaces meet the lake.
