Chain Bridge is a beautiful 19th century suspension bridge across the Danube in Budapest. Connecting the hilly Buda side with the flat Pest side, it is one of the most iconic sights of Hungary's capital. A majestic stone lion guard each side, making the bridge even more picturesque. Its official name is Szechenyi Lanchid, honored Istvan Szechenyi, a famous government minister. It is 375 meters long and 22 meters wide, was restored in 1949 and is now open to both pedestrians and vehicles. The amazing view from the bridge stretches to the Buda Hills and the Margaret Island. A must-see for all travelers to Budapest!
