
Centro Naval is the site of the Argentine Naval Command, located near the city center of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It houses the Navy and Coastguard headquarters, featuring the Historic Museum of the Argentine Navy. Visitors and photographers can observe the military personnel and inspect the ships in the Naval Base, while exploring the area. Additionally, they can tour the ruins of the former Real Plaza de Toros de Sur. The museum features objects and works of art related to the Argentine Navy and Coast Guard, as well as a collection of photographs and a library. The area of Centro Naval is also known for its impressive buildings, such as the Intendencia Central and the Museo Naval Commandante Espora. Besides its architectural attractions, the surrounding area offers many activities and events, especially during summer. There is also the Buzo Submarino Monument, dedicated to the crew of the ill-fated submarine San Juan.
