The Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada is home to some of the most stunning landscapes in the United States. Located fifty miles northeast of Las Vegas, the park is a vivid red oasis of stunning rock formations. Visitors can explore petroglyphs carved into the rocks, gaze down from towering sandstone formations, and hike past towering domes and ridges. Wildlife, such as desert tortoises, lizards, hummingbirds, and raptors, are also present in the park. The Valley of Fire offers visitors campgrounds, picnic areas, a visir center, and the Atlatl Cave, which features a number of petroglyph symbols that have been carved into the walls.
