Central Undimotriz is the first commercial wave power plant in the world, located in the coastal town of Mutriku, Spain. The plant converts energy from the waves into electricity and has been in operation since 2011. It is capable of generating enough energy to power approximately 250 households. The plant is operated by the Basque Energy Agency and is open to the public for educational tours. Visitors can learn about the technology used to harness wave energy and its potential as a renewable energy source.
