
The Cattedrale di Santa Maria, also known as the Cuenca Cathedral, is a 17th-century Roman Catholic church in the historic center of Cuenca, Spain. It is a magnificent example of Spanish Baroque art, with its elaborate façade and ornate sculptures. Inside, the nave is flanked by numerous chapels, each beautifully decorated and full of ornate sculptures, along with two bell towers featuring different musical instruments. The high altarpiece is a masterpiece of Baroque art and craftsmanship, depicting the Virgin Mary surrounded by saints and angels. Don't miss the beautiful stained glass windows, as well as the underground crypt of the cathedral, which contains the graves of numerous important personalities of Cuenca, including former archbishops.
