📍 From Pont Paul Bert, France
The imposing Cathédrale Saint-Étienne d'Auxerre is situated in the historical city of Auxerre in the Burgundy region of France. The Cathédrale was constructed in the 11th and 12th centuries and has served as a spiritual center of the city for nearly a millennium. The Cathédrale’s western façade is its most impressive feature, with two tall towers flanking the entrance to the majestic three portals. Within, the interior is filled with brightly colored stained-glass windows, unique wooden furnishings and other beautiful religious art.

In Auxerre, you also cannot miss the Pont Paul Bert, which was built in white stone in the late 1800s. Spanning the Yonne River, the Pont Paul Bert is 35 meters in length and connects the old to the new town of Auxerre. The dark red roofs of the houses on the western bank of the river form a contrast to the clear reflection of the heavens on the still waters. The whole sight is exceptionally picturesque and a must-see for travelers and photographers.
