Built in the early 1700s and elevated to cathedral status when the Diocese of Nancy was created in 1777, it reflects the restrained classical architecture associated with the city’s ducal transformation. Its balanced façade is framed by twin square towers, while Corinthian columns and a broad central nave give the interior a monumental, orderly rhythm. The narrow street emphasizes the height of the exterior; inside, the strongest photographic composition follows the central aisle toward the choir, using the repeating columns and pale stonework for symmetry and depth.
