Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Sion is an impressive catholic cathedral in Switzerland's Sion. Built in the 11th century, the impressive facade contains a mix of Gothic, Romanesque and Baroque elements. Inside, the church is adorned with Renaissance frescoes. Its most striking feature, however, is its four large, decorated windows, which have been recently restored. The magnificent cathedral also includes a side alter and intricately carved altarpiece. Visitors to the cathedral will also be able to find the tomb of Jean-Jacques Paschoud, who was the bishop of Sion in the 17th century. A visit to this impressive cathedral is a must for anyone travelling in the area.
