Cathedral of Christ the Saviour
📍 From Park, Russia
The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, located in Moskva, Russia, is one of the city's most beautiful and awe-inspiring architectural feats. Built in the 19th century, this impressive structure is a monument to Russian Orthodox faith and patriotism. It was previously destroyed in 1931 and has since been rebuilt on the former site. The cathedral is a full-scale replica of the original structure, and is five times larger than the old one. Inside, visitors can explore its lovely interior, which includes five magnificent domes decorated with many detailed frescoes, a grand nave, and a magnificent iconostasis. There are plenty of chapels and shrines dedicated to the saints of the Orthodox faith. Outside, the cathedral is surrounded by well-manicured gardens and five towering bell towers. It is easily recognizable with its massive dome and is a popular spot for visitors to Moskva.
