Cathedral Cave is a natural rock formation located in Chaslands, New Zealand. It is the largest of its kind in the area, with a total length of 300 meters and a depth of 35 meters. The cave is made of pink and red-colored tufa limestone and its entrance is framed by an archway and studded with stalagmites, stalactites and walls decorated with fossils. It is an impressive sight and a special place to visit, especially for people interested in geology and ancient cultures. Visitors can explore the cave and admire its beautiful formations by walking along its narrow paths, but should take extreme caution when doing so since the cave has a lot of fragile and slippery surfaces. Cathedral Cave offers a unique and magical experience and is a must-see for all visitors to Chaslands.
