The Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, located in Newark, United States, is the fifth-largest cathedral in the country and one of its oldest religious structures. The current building was built from 1899 to 1954 and is the spiritual home for the Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. The current building largely replaced an earlier version of the cathedral which was built in 1853.
