Catedral de Santiago de Compostela in Santiago de Compostela, Spain is a stunning example of Romanesque and Baroque architecture and design, attracting visitors from all over the world. As the historical and spiritual centre for millions of Catholics, it is the endpoint of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage that covers hundreds of kilometres on foot and horseback. The cathedral's highlight is its Romanesque interior, with a rood screen and sculptural decoration, and an important piece of religious art, the Botafumeiro (incense burner). Other highlights include the elaborately-decorated Carvajal Chapel and a Romanesque exterior façade.
