Cataratas del Iguazú, located in Puerto Canoas, Argentina, are a stunning natural wonder and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated on the border of Brazil and Argentina, the amazing Iguazú Falls are made up of over 270 cascades and are one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The gigantic waterfalls stretch for almost three kilometers and plunge over 80 meters into the Iguazú River. A must-see for visitors is the Iguazú National Park, offering many beautiful hikes and trails to explore the area. You can also see a variety of butterflies, orchids and even capybara, a wild pig-like creature, while walking through the park. Admission is free, but there is a guided tour (available in English, Spanish and Portuguese) which takes a few hours. Visitors can also take a boat ride up to the base of the falls. Be sure to bring rain gear, as the rainbows created by the mist from the falls create a spectacular sight and you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to get a glimpse.
