Castro Romano de Fazouro is a historical archaeological site located just outside Foz, Spain. It was built between the 1st century BC and the 6th century AD and was used as a fortified settlement and administrative center. It is surrounded by a huge wall and has several towers, houses, and church ruins. It is an excellent example of a Roman-era defense system. Today, visitors can explore the ruins, which include structures such as the main gate, the walls, and the towers. There is also a museum with exhibits focusing on the history and archaeological artifacts from the site. Visitors can also visit a nearby iron mine and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. The site is open most days, but closing times vary depending on the season. A great spot for history lovers and nature lovers alike.
