Located in the commune of Wambrechies in the Pas-de-Calais department of France, the Castle Robersart is a 12th century castle constructed by Gérard de Robersart. Its moat and ramparts are of particular historical importance as they are reflections of the castle's medieval origins. Inside the castle grounds are tall towers, wide courtyards, farm buildings and lush landscaped gardens. The grounds can be explored on foot, and offer a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Lille. The castle is a popular picnic spot for local residents and can be combined with a walk in the nearby Wambrechies forest.
