Castle Peak

Castle Peak is a small peak in Ashcroft, United States. It is one of the most scenic spots in Ashcroft, boasting breathtaking views from an elevation of 7,995 ft. The peak is part of the Castle Peak Wilderness Area and offers an array of hiking adventures, including a challenging but popular climb to the summit. The trails range from easy walks of half a mile to strenuous, multi-day mountain hikes. Castle Peak is also a popular destination for backcountry ski, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in winter. The area's diverse wildlife is also an attraction, with sightings of mountain goats, elk, deer, pika and black bears. Along the trails there are plenty of wildflowers to fill the air with fragrance and color. The peak also has the added benefit of being free from the noise and light pollution of the city and offers unparalleled views of the night sky.
