📍 Chile
Castillo Wulff is an early 20th-century seaside mansion set on a rocky outcrop along Avenida Marina, between central Viña del Mar and Caleta Abarca. Built for German-born businessman Gustavo Wulff, it resembles a compact European castle, with rough stone walls, arched windows and a turret projecting above the Pacific. The building’s dramatic placement is its defining feature: waves break directly beneath it, and a glass-floored section reveals the water and rocks below. From the coastal promenade, the castle forms a distinctive silhouette against the ocean, while its weathered masonry contrasts with white surf and the modern waterfront. Now used as a municipal cultural and exhibition space, it remains one of Viña del Mar’s most recognizable architectural landmarks.
