Castillo San Juan de las Aguilas is a fortress located in the beautiful, coastal town of Aguilas, in the autonomous community of Murcia in Spain. Built as a military defence strategy in the 18th century, this ancient monument is located atop of a rocky hill that can be seen from the city centre and from the beach. It is provides a scenic view of the coast and its surrounding area, and it is considered a great example of military architecture from the period. Visitors can explore the castle and its ramparts, and there is a window offering an amazing panoramic view of Aguilas and its coastline.
