Castillo Musulmán, y Catedral de Albarracín is a medieval landmark located in Albarracín, a charming hilltop village in Spain's Teruel province. This site was initially home to a Muslim castle dating back to the 8th-century which is why it’s often referred to as the ‘ Arabic Castle’. In the 12th century, the castle was remodeled and the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria was built alongside the castle walls. The castle is immersed in rural and mountain landscapes, creating a magical and almost ethereal ambiance. It's definitely a must-visit for history buffs and fans of medieval architecture. Visitors to the castle can find many different points of interest, including two towers and a wall that enclose the complex. Notable highlights include various coats of arms on the main façade and a breathtaking 19th-century stained glass window inside the main chapel.
