Castillo de Butrón is a castle located in the district of Gatika, in the Basque province of Biscay in Northern Spain. The castle was originally built in the 13th century and was used until the 19th century. The most notable features of the castle are its distinctive castle walls and towers. The castle is surrounded by a large moat, and there are two sets of steps leading up to the walls. The entrance to the castle is through a large archway that is surrounded by a fortified gate. Inside the walls, the castle has two courtyards, with the inner one having a large pond. The walls also feature a variety of towers and ramparts, as well as several towers that have been added to the castle in recent years.
