Castello Sforzesco in Milano, Italy is a 15th-century fortification that is now a museum. Its vast and powerful walls were built by Francesco Sforza, the Duke of Milan, and it has been the residence of a number of aristocrats during it’s long and varied history. Today the castle complex includes a number of structures, including the Torre del Filarete, the Torre della Ghiacciaia, a park, and various museum galleries. Inside, visitors can get a glimpse into the aristocratic lifestyle of the past centuries, such as the legendary Sala del Tesoro, the Ducale Chapel, and the museum of ancient art. The castle gardens are also home to the Civic Museum of Ancient Art, the Pietà Rondanini, and the Public Gardens.
