The Castello di Trezzo is a beautiful castle situated in Trezzo sull'Adda, in the Italian province of Milan. Built in 1264 as a stronghold for a local noble family, the Castle was transformed in the 16th century and replaced with a grand Renaissance courtyard, a large collection of walled gardens, and frescoes. Inside the castle walls you can find the 16th-century chapel, the famous Loggia of Dante, and a collection of 15th- and 16th-century frescoes. The castle also has a majestic dining hall, and a library, which is open to the public. Outside the castle walls, visitors can explore the surrounding park, with its ravines, trails and many sculptures. The Castello di Trezzo also offers guided tours, including a visit to the castle’s vaults and its impressive collections of ancient artifacts.
