📍 From Outside, United States
The Castello di Amorosa is a 13th-century Tuscan castle located in Calistoga, California, United States, open to public tourism. It was designed by Italian-born vintner and 5th-generation winemaker, Dario Sattui, and was completed in 2007. From its towers and ramparts, to its grand banquet hall, torture chamber, and chapel, the great stone fortress, which includes 107 rooms and 8 levels, is both a marvel of modern construction and a living tribute to the rich past of Italian-inspired winemaking. The estate's villa-style tasting room, carved with images of the Crusades, provides guests a unique setting to experience the vineyard's premium wines. With its walled gardens and the amphitheater for outdoor performances, the Castello di Amorosa has become an iconic attraction in the Napa Valley.
