Castello Cavour di Santena is a 17th century castle in the small town of Santena, outside of Turin, Italy. The castle was originally built in 1641 by the Genoese House of Cavour, and it is the main tourist attraction of the town. The castle has a large courtyard, surrounded by a high wall and a few rooms. It is one of the very few well preserved castles in Italy. Inside, visitors can find the original frescoes, which were done by the Cavour family in the 1640s. Visitors can also explore the grounds and learn about the local history. A great way to experience the castle is to go for a guided tour by the local Government. It is important to note that the tour must be booked in advance due to the castle’s popularity.
