Castell de Bétera is a fortified palace in the historic centre of Bétera, in the Camp de Túria district northwest of Valencia. Its origins lie in the Islamic period, with later rebuilding under Christian rule adapting the stronghold into a noble residence. Its crenellated towers and substantial walls retain a defensive character, while the windows and domestic façades reflect its residential role. Seen from the surrounding streets, the castle rises directly above the town’s houses, creating a striking contrast between medieval fortification and the scale of the old urban centre.
