Casino de la Exposición stands beside Teatro Lope de Vega, near the northern edge of Parque de María Luisa. Together, the two buildings formed Seville’s pavilion for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, which reshaped this part of the city. Designed by Vicente Traver, the casino’s neo-Baroque architecture centers on a circular hall beneath a broad dome. Columns, arched openings and decorative moldings give the exterior a ceremonial character, while the rounded silhouette distinguishes it from the adjoining theater. Now used for exhibitions and cultural events, the building preserves a connection to the exposition’s social and artistic life.
