The Caseta de la Cala del Portitxol is a small whitewashed seaside cottage at Cala del Portitxol, also known as Cala Barraca, in Xàbia (Jávea) on Alicante’s Costa Blanca. Beside the Mar Azul residential area, this pebbly cove faces the island of Portitxol and is known for its traditional fishermen’s cottages. The caseta’s blue-painted doorway and plain white walls reflect the shore’s fishing heritage, giving the scene a human scale against the rocky coastline. Its strong blue-and-white contrast is the recognizable detail in close views, while wider compositions connect the cottages with the pebbled beach, Mediterranean water and offshore island.
