Casa Natale di Ascanio Condivi marks the birthplace of the Renaissance painter and writer in Ripatransone’s historic center, in the Marche region. Born in 1525, Condivi is remembered above all for his 1553 biography of Michelangelo, written with the artist’s cooperation and still an essential source on his life and work. The house links this small Adriatic hill town to the artistic world of sixteenth-century Rome; its restrained historic façade and surrounding lanes place Condivi’s story within Ripatransone’s dense, brick-built urban fabric.
