
Casa do Penedo, or 'Stone House' is a unique stone structure located near the village of Moreira do Rei, Portugal. It was built in the 1970s using four massive boulders, and is blanketed in vegetation. It is a popular tourist attraction and its unique construction makes it a wonderful architectural sight. It is surrounded by dense forests, streams and rivers, and is nestled in rolling hills of grasslands. The view from Casa do Penedo offers wonderful sweeping vistas of the surrounding valleys. The ruins of an old Roman fort are also located nearby, which are thought to date back to the 3rd century BC. Its unspoilt natural beauty provides a blend of history and adventure for visitors of all ages.
