Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge is a famous bridge near Ballintoy in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. The bridge connects the mainland to the tiny Carrick Island, and it is one of the most thrilling sights along the Antrim Coast. It is a single rope bridge suspended almost 30m above sea level and built by local fishermen in the 18th century to make it easier to access their fishing grounds.
