Cara Na Mara Wreck

The Cara Na Mara Wreck and Bungbeg Beach are situated in Inishcoole, just southwest of Gweedore, Ireland. This unique beach is unique as it has a large shipwreck right near the shoreline. This shipwreck is fairly recent, as it was shipwrecked around the 1930s. Visitors are able to explore the shipwreck, but should do so in a respectful manner so as not to disturb the various creatures and plants that inhabit it. The beach is also a popular spot for photographers as the sunsets and sunrises create spectacular views. On clear days, one can see the Islands of Tory and Mount Errigal from the beach. The beach is secluded and can be reached by a few bends on narrow pathways. It can also be accessed by kayak or boat. All in all, the Cara Na Mara Wreck and Bunbeg Beach provide visitors with a unique beach experience with spectacular views, secluded surroundings and plenty of opportunity to explore.
