Cappella Lago di Braies is a small early-20th-century chapel on the western shore of Lago di Braies, near the historic lakeside hotel in South Tyrol’s Dolomites. Designed by architect Otto Schmid and dedicated to the Divine Redeemer, it reflects the region’s Alpine religious tradition in a compact, picturesque form. Its pale walls, steep shingled roof and slender bell turret stand out against dark conifer forest, while the turquoise water and the rocky Croda del Becco massif give wider views a strong sense of scale. From the lakeside path, the chapel can be framed through trees or photographed as a quiet architectural detail within the larger mountain landscape.
