Capela do Senhor da Pedra is a beautiful chapel in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. It stands right at the waterfront of the Douro River, across from Porto. As it has become a symbol of the city, it offers stunning views of the old town together with the Douro River. Its origins date back to 1612, when it was built to be the hermitage of the Brotherhood of Santiago. Recently restored, its interior holds examples of beautiful 17th-century tiles and sculpture.
