Cape Flattery is a dramatic headland situated in Clallam County on the Olympic Peninsula in the U.S. state of Washington. It’s the most northwestern point of the contiguous United States and is part of the Makah Reservation. The area around Cape Flattery offers stunning views and can be appreciated from a few different viewpoints. From the parking lot along the Makah Reservation, visitors can take a short path to the overlook of the cape. There’s also a 2.2-mile loop hike that takes you out to a unique viewing platform for more viewing opportunities. From here, you can see seabirds, sea lions, and beautiful cliffs and rocks that have eroded into unique shapes. When exploring, don’t forget to look downward for starfish, seaweeds, and even octopuses!
