📍 From Marache Point Lighthouse, Canada
The Cap Auget Lighthouse is an iconic structure located at the entrance of the St. Peter’s Bay in Arichat, Canada. Designed by Patrick Keely of Saint John and built in 1889, it was one of the first lighthouses to have an open framework and is the oldest standing lighthouse in Nova Scotia. The lighthouse stands at 38 feet (11.6m) tall, has a wood-shingled cupola and an angled lantern room, and is located on a rocky mound at the water’s edge. The red-toned bluffs of Petit de Grat Island can be seen in the background, adding to the picturesque beauty of the location. From here you can enjoy panoramic views of the bay, picturesque coastal vistas, and stunning sunsets. Cap Auget Lighthouse is a perfect spot for photographers and travelers seeking some peace and serenity.
