The Canteras de Tinamala are a stunning set of volcanic formations close to the town of Guatiza in north-eastern Lanzarote. The site provides breathtaking views of volcanic terrain stretching out into the Atlantic Ocean. These particular formations feature rocks of various shades and sizes, islets, mountain peaks, ravines and tunnels carved in lava - all resulting in a picturesque landscape. This area is also home to numerous plant and animal species only to be found in this part of the world. Visitors can explore the area by foot or cycle to soak up the views and take in the atmosphere. Tours of the area accompanied with multilingual guides are also available.
