Canosio's ruins are a powerful reminder of Piedmont's former glory. Located in Sambuco, Italy, the ruins are a sprawling complex of fortifications, barracks, towers and courtyards, all surrounded by stunning views across the valley.

The ruins' origins date back to the 10th century and have been successively occupied by the Lombards, Savoyards and eventually Napoleonic French. The complex has been preserved in beautiful condition, offering a vivid insight into the legacy of Canosio's illustrious past. The ruins offer many exciting opportunities for exploration and photo-taking. They feature several large courtyards, ancient walls, gates and lookout points, which offer unforgettable views of the surrounding mountain terrain.
