The Canal Grande & Ponte Rosso in Trieste, Italy, are sights to behold. The Canal Grande, the biggest of the city's canal works, located in the Val Rosandra gorge, is a spectacle to watch owing to its landscape and boat traffic. Ponte Rosso is the longest reinforced bridge in the world, featuring three spans and spanning more than 400 metres. The bridge is embraced with beautiful gardens, lush with vegetation with benches and a cafe. Along the canal, visitors can also enjoy a wonderful view of the Duomo di San Giusto as well as numerous other monuments, including the amazing Miramar Fort at the mouth of the canal. On the inner side, the canal passes under a brand-new pedestrian bridge equipped with stairs with luminous decorations providing an attractive night time ambience. It's well worth a visit.
