📍 From Duomo, Italy
The Campanile di Giotto and the Duomo are iconic landmarks in Florence. The Campanile di Giotto is the bell tower of Florence's Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, popularly known as the Duomo. It was designed by famed Italian architect Giotto di Bondone in the 14th Century. This 83 meter tall tower stands as an example of exquisite gothic architecture with its white, green and red marble cladding. The Campanile is connected to the Duomo, a stunning cathedral that is a striking example of Italian Renaissance architecture. Its pink, white and green marble exterior is accentuated by a 59 meter-high dome. Visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city by climbing the 414 steps to the top of the Cathedral. There is also a Baptistery, which houses beautiful 13th-century bronze doors, and a museum where visitors can learn more about the history of Florence.
