The Mirador Hornocal is a stunning mountain peak with stunning rock formations located in the Quebrada de Humahuaca canyon near the city of Coctaca, Argentina. It forms part of the mountainous Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of the Seven Colours) and it can be accessed from a dirt road from the village of Maimará. The views from the top of the Mirador Hornocal and the nearby shrines overlook the majestic colours of the canyon, with its spires, pinnacles and folds in the landscape. Visitors usually take the Camino del Hornocal, a kind of pilgrimage route with picturesque villages, stunning landscapes and archaeological parklands along the way. The best photos can be taken in the afternoon or evening when the sun bathes the canyon in amber and ochre hues.
