Riomaggiore is located in the Cinque Terre region of northwest Italy. This village is stunningly picturesque and has some of the most amazing scenery in the area. It has multicoloured houses that line the streets, beautiful vineyards surrounding the town, and a stunning view of the sea and mountains. There is a large beach to relax on, too. But it’s not just about the scenery. There are plenty of eateries dotted around, some of which specialise in fresh seafood and pesto. Plus, there’s a museum where you can discover the history of the village, a castle to explore and the Church of St. John the Baptist with its 15th-century altarpiece. Riomaggiore is a great place for walking. The main street is full of narrow alleys and cobbled stairs, so you can easily explore the older parts of the village. The local ferry service and coastal paths also give you the opportunity to discover the other four Cinque Terre villages.
